Hotel Residence Montelago, Ternate (Varese)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious with a nice balcony, though being on the 3rd floor without an elevator was a bit of a downside. The service was exceptional, with helpful staff and great recommendations for local attractions and dining options. The location was perfect, close to the lake and a beautiful park. The dining experience was a bit limited, but overall the hotel offered great value for money.

Arriving at the hotel, I was delighted to find exposed timber ceilings in the rooms. The initial room temperature of 28C meant I had to keep the window open, especially being on the ground floor, but overall, the rooms were impressively clean. The hotel offers exceptional service, including making a reservation at a nearby restaurant that exceeded my expectations. The staff members were incredibly kind and nice, ensuring a pleasant stay. The location, serving as the bar and breakfast area in the morning, is truly amazing with easy access to Milan and the beautiful lakes, but the breakfast choices were somewhat limited. Dining options were satisfactory, though mostly basic and not very varied. Facilities were decent, with some room for improvement. Nonetheless, the hotel's captivating location near Lake Comabbio and the stunning flora compensates for any shortcomings.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were in poor condition with various issues like not enough towels, non-functional toilet, broken and small shower, and a mildew-covered shower curtain. On the bright side, the energy-saving setup was commendable.

I felt lucky to find this gem of a hotel located just a stone's throw away from the lake and a fantastic restaurant. The rooms were spacious and peaceful, but there were minor dining limitations. The service exceeded our expectations, making our stay memorable. The location was ideal for exploring the lakes and accessing Milan conveniently.

When we arrived, the room was a bit too warm for my liking, so we had to keep the window open. The rooms were spacious with a huge bed and a nice fridge. However, being on the ground floor and near regular rooms that seemed closed off by an additional door was a bit of a concern.
